Oregon's Tobacco Prevention and Education Program (TPEP) was launched in 1997 with a clear and simple mandate - to reduce tobacco-related illness and death. Since its inception, TPEP has been a comprehensive program, addressing the issues of tobacco use by working to reduce exposure to secondhand smoke, counter pro-tobacco influence, help people quit and eliminate health disparities.

The National Conference on Tobacco or Health is June 10-12, 2009, in Phoenix, AZ. The purpose of the National Conference on Tobacco or Health is to help improve and sustain the effectiveness and reach of tobacco control programs and activities in the United States.

The Oregon Tobacco Quit Line is a free telephone service available to all Oregon residents who want to stop using tobacco. The Quit Line offers you free quitting information, one-on-one telephone counseling, and referrals for you or a loved one.
